bash: $’\377\376′: command not found

Problem: I got the following Message everytime, when I opened my Git Bash on Windows 10:

Quite annoying!

Solution: To fix it, navigate to your users Directory (C:\Users\<YourUsername>) and search for the file named “.bashrc”. In my case it was an “empty” file without visible content, that had a size of 1 KB:

Simply delete the file and the message will not appear anymore!
